Marram Wines is proud to introduce wines produced in Napa, to benefit the Gordie Howe C.A.R.E.S. Initiative, in support of Alzheimer's research. The wines were made by the great winemaker Rudy Zuidema from Rapp Ranch Cellars in Napa Valley, and will be available in the the Calgary market in early April.
The white wine is 100% Napa Chardonnay and the Red is a blend of Napa Merlot, Cab, Malbec and Cab Franc. Both wines will be exclusively available in the Crowfoot Liquor Store chain.
We urge you to purchase a bottle or two in support of Gordie Howe C.A.R.E.S. Five dollars from each bottle sold will go to the Gordie Howe Center for Alzheimer's Research and Education Society (C.A.R.E.S.).

2013 Oakville Estate Cabernet -- Wine Spectator Tasting Notes:
"Charming from the first sip, this is openly rich, dense and fruity, concentrated and focused, built on a core of
gravelly graphite, cedar and blackberry flavors. Turns creamy, with mocha-scented oak adding a tempting dimension.
Drink now through 2030."
June 10th marked the much anticipated release of Bruwer Raats' MR de Compostella 2014 from South Africa.
The MR de Compostella has garnered nothing but top awards since it's first vintage in 2004. Most recently, the 2013 vintage was awarded 5 stars in the 2016 John Platter, scored 94 points by Neal Martin of the Wine Advocate, and 95 points by Tim Atkin. It was one of the Top 5 SA luxury red wines and rated in the TOP 2 performing investment wines in the Livex SA. The previous four vintages all scored over 94 points from the Wine Advocate.
Bruwer’s comments on the vintage: “The 2014 growing season was earmarked by unusually cooler growing conditions and a smaller crop than usual. Due to the longer ripening period, the wine shows beautiful red and black current fruit with a complex, but extremely elegant structure. The MR de Compostella 2014 reminds me a lot of the 2007 vintage with great freshness, purity packed in a very elegant manner. The wine has great maturation potential.”
This wine is highly allocated, so if you have an interest in carrying it in your restaurant or retail shop, be sure to reach out to our team at Marram Wines to let them know. We will try our very best to get our hands on some of this incredible vintage for you!!
